Other Visits and Vistors

Two of our favorite Trick or Treaters!
on Halloween Night.
This is why I'm getting so husky. I know how to eat real food!

Grandma and Ryan's favorite activity!
Isabella's wonderful protectors and helpers!

Time to snuggle up on the bench after Church.
The last good weekend before the snow came!

Who's the cutest Pumpkin?

Saturday night, Nathan and Tammy and family came over for supper, visiting, and playing games. We had a really fun time playing Spaz-Uno with the kids.  Laurie and Brendan are doing great in school and Isabella is a gret observer!
She wasn't quite sure she knew us, so we've got some work to do the next two months, getting reacquainted.  Autumn pulled off some great gourmet meals while we were there  It's time to rein ourselves in again!  But we loved visiting with everyone!

We had a great time visiting, and enjoying walks on such a nice fall day.  We attended Church with Autmn's family and also saw the work they are doing in their neighborhood, getting ready to bring a freeway down through their neighborhood!
After Sunday naps we headed down to Provo to stay with Chris and Pam's family and enjoyed another delicious meal and more home made rolls!.  We had a wonderful visit with them too, and got a few games in with the kids before heading to bed.  CJ will turn 18 in June, so has some big decisions coming up.  He's attending Missionary Prep and ran in cross country this fall, and went on several dates!  Michael tried out for the BB team and made the first two cuts.  As soon as he gets his height, we're sure he'll make the team.  Everyone one was happy and well.  We have such great kids and daughters and sons-in laws and wonderful grandchildren.  We feel truly blessed.

More Visits on the Way Home

We did a little Treasure Hunt for Autumn's Kids
Just checking to see if these 5 and 6 year olds really know how to read!  -- They did, and figured out clues pretty quickly.

."No time for Grandpa to sleep today --  he'll miss the soft pillows

"Feeding Leah is important every day --but don't let her eat the clue."

"Under the bench you'll find the final clue"

Twinners!  Who are growing up way too fast!

CJ's Big Dates this school year.
Homecoming and Junior Prom!

CJ is a  handsome young man and fun to talk to. It looks like he associates with kids with good standards.  That makes us mighty happy and thankful.

Kylee completed her birthday quilt recently.  Here it is!  We gave her jelly rolls to sew into a quilt.  The girls also performed several songs for us while we visited with them.  They should be all ready for the family reunion program this summer!
Michael will be a Freshman next year, and is growing taller and taller.

This is what it looked like in Moab when we drove home on Saturday.  It had blown like crazy in SE Utah for three days!  You couldn't even see the sky.

One of the bright spots of my garden are these columbines I started from seeds my sister Nancy gave me from her flowers in Teton.  There were especially beautiful this year, and should reseed well.

Ganado Granny's life in West Valley City

Here's some of the cute people I saw while in SLC:

Autumn had her gall bladder surgery on Monday April 14, out patient, and she was pretty sore when she came home.  Hinckley was a very cooperative baby and took the bottle, and drank up every bit of milk his mom had pre-pumped for him.
I had lots of fun and lots of work while at Autumn and Theron's so it was a good mix for me.  We appreciate having fun, if we've done hard work first.   Hunter and Peyton were very good little helpers both for me and mommy.  I took my steam cleaner and we attacked anything that wasn't moving.  I can't believe what a good helper Hunter was especially.

Peyton helped me make cinnamon rolls and bread--we even ground our own!  Got to walk Hunter to school a couple of times, and before Autumn had Gall bladder surgery we all went out to eat, then to a movie (How to Train a Dragon in 3-D).  Did a little gardening, though it was snowy and cold the first week.

Meanwhile back at the ranch on the mesa...Steve and Corey batched it.  Steve had the house spic and span when I got home, especially our bedroom, where he had even dusted and put all the things away in his closet and dresser top.  Wow!  Shined up the bathroom and tub to boot.  He also cooked a scrumptious roast dinner for Sunday, plus he entertained and fed Paul and Kenni's family for 6 days.  They got along pretty well.  It was nice to have all the snow melted when I got home, plus tulips and daffodils blooming all around the house.
